CCHL Recap | Bears Win In Overtime

Ottawa, ON – The Smiths Falls Bears pushed the Navan Grads to an overtime decision in the second game in the finals. The Bears won in the first overtime 4-3 on Sunday evening.

The first period saw goals from Travis Ouellette for Smiths Falls and Nico Paone for Navan. Shaymus Stevenson extended Smiths Falls’ lead in the second period, but Colin MacDougall quickly responded for Navan. In the third period, Navan fought back with goals from Shaan Kingwell and Kyle Dagg, forcing the game into overtime. However, it was Matthew Dimaline who sealed the win for Smiths Falls. Goaltenders Jaeden Nelson of Navan and Dawson Labre of Smiths Falls showcased their skills, with Nelson making an impressive 42 saves and Labre stopping 26 shots.
